Disc Manufacturing Methods
Duplication

Disc duplication is all about quick turnaround and smaller quantities. Duplication is the process of “burning” CD-R’s or DVD-R’s on high-end custom duplication machinery. The disc face is printed using industrial quality thermal printing systems. We do not use cheap inkjet systems that can smear or smudge. Screen or offset printed discs are also available (minimum quantities required).
Replication

When you need 500 or more discs, replication is often your best bet. We create a glass master that stamps your audio or data. Many people call these ‘retail-ready’ or ‘manufactured’ discs. The discs are printed in full color using offset printing at no extra charge. If you prefer, spot color screen-printing is available by request.
Printing and Packaging Options
Disc Printing Options
Thermal

Available in grayscale or full-color for short-run duplication orders. This printing method uses a sublimation process to transfer the print image permanently onto the disc. This creates stunning images that wont smudge scratch or fade which makes it superior to inkjet based prints.
Screen-Print

Screen-printing uses inks that are pressed through a fine mesh to create the image. It is best used for discs with solid spot colors, especially when a silver “knockout” effect is desired. Up to 4 spot colors are included in your disc cost with additional colors available for an additional charge.
Offset

Offset printing uses plates that transfer the image in reverse onto rubber rollers and then onto the disc. This uses the CMYK color method to create a large color spectrum. We include offset printing at no additional cost to ensure you get the best print without compromise.
